Limits on outdoor storage upheld

CLEARFIELD — A decision to limit outdoor storage was upheld and ratified with a recent council approval.

The city council recently approved the findings, conclusions and determination of the appeal authority regarding outdoor storage in excess of 6 feet for Dawson Homes.

The council acted as an appeal authority, looking into a planning commission decision on Jan. 5 to allow storage in excess of 6 feet at Dawson Homes, 171 W. 200 South.

As the authority, the council determined it was illegal to allow such storage because not all properties surrounding it are zoned M-1 manufacturing, which is required by city code.
