ROY -- An altercation at a party Friday night became a fight between two people versus 20.
Roy Police Chief Greg Whinham said officers responded at 11:30 p.m. to a fight that had spilled out into the front yard at a party where a lot of alcohol was consumed.
A crowd attacked a 20-year-old male and a 20-year-old female. Whinham said the male received a severe beating from punches and kicks. The woman's injuries were less severe.
Although many people were involved in the fight at 2132 W. 6650 South, police clearly identified Jermaine Perish Stallings, 23, and Christian Calderon, 19, as the main aggressors. Whinham said the size of the fight made it impossible to arrest everyone who participated.
Officers booked the pair into Weber County Jail on suspicion of rioting, disorderly conduct, intoxication and two counts of assault.
Police also arrested the homeowner, Marty James Vigil, 40, for contributing to delinquency, because he allowed underage drinking to take place in his home.
The victims went to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Stallings' bail totalled $7,534, while Calderon, who was not charged with intoxication, had bail totalling $7,344. Vigil's bail was $827.
