MODENA -- The Iron County Sheriff's Office is offering a $1,000 reward for information in what they call the "senseless" shooting of two cows.
Authorities say they responded to a report of shot cattle near Modena on Feb. 20.
Deputies found bullet holes from what appeared to be a small-caliber weapon. They also used a metal detector to confirm the slugs were inside the animals' bodies.
Officials say the shooting happened within the week leading up to Feb. 20.
