HONOLULU -- Morgan Grim drained a short jumper with seven seconds to play, and the Utah State Aggies overcame a late deficit to defeat the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors 61-60 late Saturday night in WAC action.
Utah State had to overcome a seven-poin deficit over the final six minutes to pick up the road win.
Brockeith Pane scored 20 points, Preston Medlin added 19 and Grim finished with nine for the Aggies (17-14, 8-6 WAC). Kyisean Reed added 10 rebounds.
Josten Thomas led Hawaii (15-15, 5-8) with 19 points.
The two teams will meet next week in the first round of the WAC postseason tournament in Las Vegas.
