LOGAN-- A sheriff's deputy and another man were injured in a morning crash on an icy Cache County road.
Utah Highway Patrol officials tell the Herald Journal (http://bit.ly/yRONvW) that a Ford Windstar carrying five men slid into the back of a deputy's parked patrol car about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday.
The crash left 28-year-old minivan passenger Abrem Woldeyohanes with serious neck and head injuries. Sgt. Troy Liquin was in his vehicle when it was struck and was treated and released for minor injuries.
Liquin was one of three deputies that had been on the scene helping other drivers who had slid off the road.
Authorities say the minivan was driving about 35 or 40 mph, which was too fast for the wintry conditions.
