Weber State student to be White House intern

SALT LAKE CITY — A Weber State University college student who hails from Sandy has been selected as one of about 150 White House interns for spring 2012.

White House officials say Tuesday that Kirsten Anderson has been chosen for the program. She’s the only participant who calls Utah home.

Interns are placed in one of several White House departments. The deadline for applying to the fall 2012 internship program is April 1.
