Worker injured by wall falling on him in Kaysville

KAYSVILLE — A 29-year-old man was flown to Ogden Regional Medical Center after a wall fell on top of him at a construction site Tuesday morning.

Fire Chief Brett Larkin said the accident happened just after 8 a.m. near Nicholas Road and Main Street.

Construction workers are building condominiums in the area, Larkin said.

The man, along with several others, was putting up a full-size wall about 25 feet long on the second floor, when a gust of wind caught the wall and knocked it over, trapping the man underneath it, Larkin said.

Dozens of workers came to the aid of the man and removed the wall before paramedics arrived, Larkin said. The unidentified man was complaining of chest and spinal pain.
