Layton City Family Night at the Library, 6:30 p.m., Central Branch, 155 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton. Free. Journey through space and enjoy an evening of games, prizes, crafts, storytelling and more.

Free educational series for caregivers offered by The Care for the Caregiver Coalition. Individuals may attend at anytime during the series. Presenters will discuss topics on caregiver issues. The classes are held at noon each Friday at Weber Human Services, 237 26th Street, Ogden. A complementary lunch is provided with an RSVP. Saturday

Al-Anon 12-step support groups meetings for friends and families of alcoholics are held daily throughout the area. For meeting times and locations call 801-393-2311.

Ben Lomond High School Bagpipe Corps will perform a St. Patrick's Day concert at 7 p.m. on March 17 in the Ben Lomond High School auditorium, 1080 9th Street, Ogden. Tickets are $3 at the door. There will be music, dancers, and comedy.

Scout Saturday, Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th Street, Ogden. Sessions are held the third Saturday of each month. Three different sessions will be offered, each lasting 45 minutes. Programs are designed to help scouts fulfill their merit badge requirements. Reservations are required. Davis County Youth of Promise, 4 p.m., Utah State University Botanical Center, 725 S. Sego Lily Drive, Kaysville. The group is looking for youth ages 14-18 who want to make a difference in their community. The organization builds leadership skills and provides opportunities to serve beyond your own neighborhood. A free recovery support group program for adults living with mental illness, the groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, and hope. A food drive organized by a third grade student at Majestic Elementary in Ogden will be taking place through April 12. Food donations can be dropped off in the bins located at the following locations: Majestic Elementary, 425 W. 2550 North, North Ogden; Elite Gymnastics, 3183 Harrison Blvd.; Ogden City Police Department, 2186 Lincoln Ave. Ogden; Army Recruiting offices in Ogden, 3585 S. Harrison Blvd. Ogden; Roy City, 5629 S. 1900 West, Roy. Needed items are non-perishables such as canned food and boxed meals, dried beans and peas, pasta, rice, low sugar cereals, peanut butter, baby formula and baby food, canned meats, fruit juices, personal grooming items, cleaning supplies.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides free tax prep for those who make less than $57,000. VITA can be located throughout Weber County. We have sites open during a variety of hours and all days except Sunday. If you are making less than $57,000 give 211 a call and they will set you up with a location and get your taxes done.
