Public show of respect for 'Mr. Weber High'

PLEASANT VIEW -- Earl H. Heninger, also known as "Mr. Weber High," died this week, and on Thursday, former students painted the school's logo on Washington Boulevard.

Weber High School alumni are urging those who knew Heninger to wear the school's colors today in his honor and have created a Facebook page "Red and Black Friday for Mr. Heninger."

Heninger, 68, died Monday at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. He taught science in the Weber School District for 17 years, was Weber High's principal for 13 years and served on the Weber School Board for seven years.

A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. today at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. A viewing will run from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. today. Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 North, North Ogden.
