LAYTON — A traffic checkpoint is scheduled in this city Saturday night.
Layton and Clearfield police, along with the Utah Department of Public Safety, will hold an administrative traffic checkpoint in the area of Antelope Drive and University Park Boulevard in the westbound lanes from 9 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday.
This operation is an effort to promote highway safety and deter those who violate traffic safety laws, according to a news release. The primary focus of the checkpoint will be to detect impaired drivers.
