LOGAN -- With four wins in the last five games, the Utah State basketball team earned another home game, hosting Idaho tonight in the second round of the Postseason Tournament.

Game time is 7 p.m. at the Smith Spectrum.

The Aggies (18-15) posted a 75-69 home win against CSU Bakersfield in the first round Wednesday. In Idaho, USU meets coach Don Verlin, a former USU assistant.

"Our games with them in the recent past have been lower scoring, just from a familiarity standpoint" USU coach Stew Morrill said. "This is going to be interesting because I think you could see most anything in this game defensively, either team could try a variety of different looks."

Utah State is led by sophomore guard Preston Medlin who is averaging 16.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists, while senior guard Brockeith Pane is averaging 12.5 points and 3.9 assists, and junior forward Kyisean Reed is averaging 9.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

The Vandals are 19-13 on the season following a 86-83 home win against UC Santa Barbara. Idaho, which has won eight of its last 10 games, is led by senior guard Deremy Geiger -- the former Utah State player -- who is averaging 13.2 points.

Idaho has two other players scoring in double figures as center Kyle Barone is averaging 13.0 points and 8.0 rebounds, and Stephen Madison is averaging 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
