2 arrested in SLC smoke shop killing

SALT LAKE CITY -- Two men have been arrested in connection with a Salt Lake City smoke shop shooting that killed the store owner's 26-year-old son.

Officers say they arrested 25-year-old Yelfris Sosa-Hurtado and 38-year-old Vladimir Suarez-Campos during a traffic stop Monday morning.

Store employee Steven Guadalupe Chavez was killed during an altercation at C.J.'s Smoke Shop Wednesday.

Authorities say there was an argument between a man in a car and a group of people outside the shop about 7:30 p.m.

Officials say the suspect left the scene, then returned about half an hour later in a different vehicle.

The suspect fired shots and chased people into the store before leaving the scene.

Hurtado was identified as the shooter and Suarez was identified as the getaway car driver. Both are charged with aggravated murder.
