Woods Cross High robotics team makes semifinals

WOODS CROSS -- After competing in the FIRST Robotics Utah Regional Competition, the Woods Cross High School robotics team made it to the semifinal round and won the team spirit award.

Woods Cross was one of 43 teams from nine states competing March 15-17.

After the first-round matches, the team earned the fifth seed, the highest of all the Utah teams competing. Woods Cross then won its quarterfinal round and landed in the semifinals, the best finish in the five years it has been participating in the regional event. The team also won the spirit award.
