SANDY -- Utah high school student and high school graduate entrepreneurs are invited to compete for the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards.
Nominations and applications are due Tuesday, and should be submitted through www.GSEAutah.org.
To qualify for the competition, students must: be currently enrolled in a recognized school; be the owner, founder or controlling shareholder of a for-profit company; and be principally responsible for its operations. The student's business must have been operational for at least six months from the time of application.
The Utah winner will compete at the regional competition in Seattle. The regional winner will go on to a global competition this fall in New York City.
The Utah competition will take place April 3 in the Free Enterprise Center at the Miller Campus of Salt Lake Community College, 9750 S. 300 West, Sandy.
