Biggest sports thrill: "Winning a Las Vegas tournament with my club team two years ago."
Best advice I've ever received: "If in doubt, clear it out."
Last week: Young -- a key play in all areas of the game -- scored a goal and had an assist as the Falcons, off to a 6-0 start after a combined 0-32 mark the previous two seasons, earned wins over Kearns and Granger. The Falcons will jump into Region 6 play this week.
Young on his performance: "I'm surprised that we're 6-0. I think the team is really good this year. The seniors get along and want to play with each other this year. The communication is strong. I think the goal this year is to win region and go on to state."
Coach Chuck Miller on Young: "Our defense has been much improved this year. We've also scored a lot of goals off his throw-ins. We pack everybody in the box and he throws it in the six-yard box which has been a nightmare for our opponents. He's big and strong and he doesn't talk all that much, he just quietly goes out and does his job."
After high school: "I'm probably going to go into the industrial field, like as a heavy metal worker."
