PROVO-- The Provo police department's nine-person bike team rides again starting Wednesday.
Officers will be focusing on areas that are inaccessible to cars, including the Provo River Trail. The bike team will also be on duty for the Fourth of July Parade, bike rodeos, and pedestrian safety fairs.
Provo Police Chief Rick Gregory says officers have a different perspective when they're on two wheels than when they're in a patrol car. He says the bike rides can offer more opportunities to meet residents face-to-face.
