SALT LAKE CITY -- A former Utah Department of Transportation employee is returning to her job after state officials determined she was wrongly fired.
Denice Graham is set to report to her civil rights manager job Monday after being fired in April amid accusations that she leaked confidential information about a $1.1 billion Interstate 15 rebuilding project in Utah County.
Graham has denied the accusations. Utah's Career Service Review Office ruled in February that she was not the source of the leak and that the firing amounted to an abuse of discretion.
A UDOT spokesman said the agency was considering an appeal but decided against it.
Graham said the year out of work has taken a physical and emotional toll. She said she's looking forward to getting more sleep and paying off bills.
