WEST POINT -- A 22-year-old West Point man ended up in jail Thursday after throwing a cereal bowl and jug of milk at his father.
Bart McKinley Neely appeared in 2nd District Court on Friday, charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, assault and criminal mischief, all class B misdemeanors. A felony arraignment hearing is set for April 12.
Davis County Sheriff Sgt. Scott Harper said Neely's 90-year-old grandmother called 911 about 3 p.m. when Neely and his father got into a fight. Officers from Davis County, Clinton, Syracuse and Clearfield responded.
Neely is accused of throwing a cereal bowl and a jug of milk at his father, hitting him, as well as punching a hole in the wall and pointing a knife at his father.
Officers found syringes and heroin in Neely's car, according to court documents.
