Defensive driving classes available

OGDEN — New four-hour defensive driving courses are available at Weber State University.

The Utah Safety Council will hold the courses at the Shepherd Union Building in Room 321 at 8 a.m., April 14 and April 28, as well as 6 p.m., April 17.

Registration is $40 a person or $10 for those age 55 and older who only want to reduce their insurance rate.

Once every three years, drivers can complete the course to take 50 points off of their Utah driving record.

The course also satisfies requirements for emergency vehicle violations, according to a release from the council. For more information call 800-933-5943 or go to
