Darts, Titans battle back and forth at UHSTCA championships

Davis topped Copper Hills in the girls team chase, led by a talented group of sprinters and hurdlers. Sylvia Harrison won the 100 meters and was second to teammate Adelyn Jones in the 100-meter hurdles. The Darts also won the sprint and medley relays.

Davis' Christine Van Brocklin won the 300-meter hurdles, Shea Martinez ran second in the 1,600 meters, Jessica Richardson was third in the shot put and Bailee Carling was third in the 100 meters.

Clearfield's Jennae Devereaux ran third in the 400 meters.

On the boys side, Riverton won with 103 points, while Davis (90) and Syracuse (81.2) battled tooth and nail for the runner-up spot.

Davis' Brad Nye won the 1,600 meters, while Alex Hedquist and Brayden Cromar ran 2-3 in the 3,200 meters. The Darts' Kyle Green was third in the 100 meters, and Sam Matina was third in the long jump.

Syracuse's Jacob Zaugg and Zach Watson went 1-2 in the pole vault, while Jaxon Worthen was third in the high jump and Bradley Sherman was third in the discus.

The Titans' Brandon was second in the 800 meters and third in the 1,600, while teammate Jaxon Hansen ran third in the 800 meters.

The Titans and Darts also were top finishers in the relay events.
