Young British royals set in wax

LONDON -- Fake versions of Britain's young royals have prompted a real-life media scrum when they were unveiled at Madame Tussauds.

Photographers and TV crews jostled for position Wednesday as the museum unveiled waxwork figures of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. The couple had the same pose they had during their engagement announcement, with the former Kate Middleton smiling in her now-famous blue Issa dress.

Madame Tussauds' Liz Edwards predicts that the pair would become the attraction's most popular figures.

At an unveiling in Amsterdam the same day, child models were brought in to pose with scones in front of waxworks of the royal couple.

Madame Tussauds Amsterdam captured the Duchess of Cambridge's recent appearance at a movie premiere where she wore a lace Alice Temperley number.
