Centerville approves annual road work

CENTERVILLE -- Annual work on roads was approved recently by the city council as the city awarded two contracts.

Morgan Pavement Maintenance received its bid for $301,717.50 for crack and slurry seals, while Kilgore Companies was awarded $210,233.83 for street rebuilds and overlays.

Most of the streets north of Parrish Lane will be crack sealed, according to a staff report. Meanwhile, the street rebuild and overlay bid includes two roads, Deerfield Drive and 400 West from Parrish Lane to 100 North. The Deerfield project also includes installing a storm drain.
