Mayor Papageorge recovering at home

FARR WEST -- Mayor Jimmie Papageorge is recovering at home from what he calls a minor stroke.

He has been able to attend some recent work sessions, but has been absent from council meetings and said he will need time to resume full duties as mayor.

Councilman Tim Shupe has been filling in on handling the mayor's duties.

Councilman Lee Dickemore asked that Farr West residents allow the mayor the rest and time he needs to recover. He said those with concerns that need to be addressed should contact Shupe and not go to the mayor's home with city issues, as some residents have been doing.
