Weber Reads the Founders and Their Documents continues at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday with "Universal Declaration of Human Rights," featuring WSU political science professor Nancy Haanstad. The free event will be held in the Stewart Library's Hetzel-Hoellein Room, Weber State University, 3848 Harrison Blvd., Ogden.

Author events this week at The King's English Bookshop include:

* Local Author Showcase at 7 p.m. Tuesday features five Utah writers with new books, including Drienie Hattingh and Lynda Scott, editors of "Tales from Huntsville, Eden, Liberty and Beyond"; Ann Chamberlin, author of "The Woman at the Well"; Michael Combe, author of "Moon Flower: Book 1 of the Convergence Series"; and Ben Coran, author of "The Crimson Ecliptic."

* Tennessee author Ruta Sepetys reads from and signs her novel for young adults "Between Shades of Gray" at 7 p.m. Thursday.

* Utah author Kevin Avery reads from and signs "Everything is an Afterthought: The Life and Writings of Paul Nelson" at 7 p.m. Friday.

* Utah author Jean Reagan and Anne Bowen host a special story time at 2 p.m. Saturday. They will also read from and sign their respective books "How to Babysit a Grandpa" and "Scooter in the Outside."

These events are free at the bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East, Salt Lake City.
