Woman hit by car in Ogden injures knee

OGDEN — A woman suffered an injury to her knee after a car hit her Friday.

A 58-year-old woman turned off northbound Interstate 15 at Exit 342 and stopped at the stop sign at the bottom of the off-ramp, where drivers can turn left or right onto 24th Street, said Ogden Police Lt. Tony Fox.

She was looking to her left and moved forward when she saw a break in traffic, but hit a 55-year-old woman walking through the crosswalk in front of the car, Fox said.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Police cited the driver for failure to yield.
