Benefit dinner set for justice center

OGDEN — The Weber/Morgan Children’s Justice Center will hold a fundraising benefit on May 5.

The benefit includes a dinner with a hosted bar, live and silent auctions and an award presentation honoring Reed Richards for his efforts starting the center. The Ogden Eccles Conference Center, 2415 Washington Blvd., hosts the benefit at 6 p.m., with Fox 13 journalist Ben Winslow as the guest emcee.

The center advocates for children, helps agencies involved in child abuse investigations to collaborate and provides resources and referrals for child victims and their families.

Despite the center’s successes, the majority of child abuse in the two counties still goes unreported, according to a news release from the center.

Tickets cost $75 a person or $700 for a table of 10 and can be bought at cjcogden.org.
