OGDEN -- A group of 15 or more gang members beat three men who complained about a botched car-repair job Sunday, sending one to a hospital, police said.
A 35-year-old man who suffered a cut to an ear needed hospitalization after the 3 p.m. melee in the 600 block of Cahoon Street in west Ogden near D Street, said Lt. Troy Burnett.
The two other victims, a 40-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, suffered bruising that did not require hospitalization.
They were attacked by a group of 15, possibly 20, younger men all affiliated with the same gang, when they complained about a poor repair job on a car of one of the victims. Events escalated after the car owner asked for his money back, Burnett said.
No arrests had been made as of Sunday night, but the investigation is continuing with several leads, Burnett said.
The injured man's ear was cut by a knife or some other implement with a sharp edge, and he suffered some hearing loss.
