Basketball players make college commitments

11Fremont High standout forward Brock Smith -- the Region 1 most valuable player -- has signed with Snow College. The senior 6-foot-6 forward averaged 20 points and just more than 10 rebounds per game for the Silver Wolves.

Meanwhile, Mountain Crest basketball star Karlee Kartchner announce recently she has signed with Utah Valley University. Guard Georgia Agnew from Salem Hills also signed with UVU.

Two Davis County standouts inked with Salt Lake Community College. Natalie Parsons, a shooting guard from Woods Cross, and Bella Swan, a small forward from Viewmont, were among eight who signed with the Bruins.

Another Cache Valley athlete -- former Sky View High basketball player Aubry Boehme signed to play at Wyoming this past month.

Boehme will join UW next fall. The 6-foot Boehme will solidify the teams post play. She played at Otero Junior College last season where she was a first team All-America selection.
