Biggest sports thrill: "The three home runs in three games against Northridge."
Best advice I've ever received: "You can always forgive."
Last week: Trujillo went 8-for-9 and crushed a trio of home runs as the Lancers (3-3 Region 1, 6-7 overall) swept a three-game series from Northridge.
Trujillo on his performance: "We really put (last year's 1-19 record) in the back of our minds and want to make sure that never happens again. We have taken a huge step forward from that season. We've developed a whole new philosophy throughout the year. Our new thing is 'We over me' (meaning) that you have to be in it for the team before you're in it for yourself. I know (beating Northridge) helped my confidence and our chances of making the state playoffs this year."
Coach Rob Ferneau on Trujillo: "He's very unselfish. He's invaluable to us because he plays so many positions. Wherever we put him he does a solid job. He had a heck of a series. He just goes out and does the job."
After high school: "I'd like to play baseball or basketball in college and possibly become an architect."
