LAYTON -- A two-vehicle crash congested the Friday afternoon commute on Interstate 15.
The male driver of an older-model Mercury Grand Marquis lost control of his vehicle while driving southbound, said Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Sagers.
The driver veered left into the median, then back onto the interstate and wound up crashing into the back of a semitrailer around 4 p.m.
That crash caused the truck driver to lose control and drive into the cable barrier, knocking out several posts near Mile Marker 332.
Southbound traffic backed up for at least two miles as troopers worked on the scene until about 5 p.m. No one was taken to the hospital, Sagers said. The driver of the Grand Marquis was cited for failure to maintain a lane.
