Cottonwood High School coach won't be charged

MURRAY — The Cottonwood High School football coach accused of having inappropriate contact with an underage female student will not face criminal charges.

Granite School District officials say prosecutors will not pursue legal action against Josh Lyman.

KTVX-TV reportsdistrict administrators are still investigating the allegations and Lyman will remain on paid administrative leave until they complete their own investigation.

The former University of Utah wide receiver was placed on leave last week after the female student told school officials he had inappropriate physical contact with her.

The 32-year-old Lyman was promoted from assistant to head coach prior to the 2010 season.
