A couple of halls of fame will soon open their doors for new members.
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference will induct six athletes and two teams in July to the RMAC Hall of Fame. The group includes Julie Jenkins-Donley, a standout runner at Adams State.
A Plain City native, Jenkins-Donley earned 19 All-America honors in cross country and the 800 and 1,500 meters through the years at Adams State and BYU, and participated in the Barcelona Olympics. Her 1985 NAIA national indoor championship team will also be inducted on July 20 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Family members point out Jenkins- Donley still hasn't been invited to join the Utah Sports Hall of Fame.

The Utah Sports Hall of Fame Foundation will honor seven former coaches during the 2012 Distinguished Coaches and Coaches of Merit Banquet on May 16.
The group includes Ogden tennis coach Carol Benson, Davis and Woods Cross golf/baseball coach Val Cullimore, South Cache wrestling coach Wes Christensen, and Viewmont/Wasatch wrestling coach Steve Sanderson.
The others are Lynn Christensen (Hurricane), Dean Fowles (Delta) and Russ Lauber (Brighton).

There are plenty of unique sports viewing options in the Top of Utah this weekend.
* Many of the top men's softball teams in the state will wrap up the Cinco De Mayo tournament all day today at Fourth Street Softball Complex.
* The USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships continue today and Sunday. This afternoon's race is a criterium in downtown Ogden; Sunday's event is a morning road race in Ogden Valley.
* Bodybuilder Philip Ricardo Jr. will perform and judge a competition today at Ben Lomond High School. Pre-show begins at 9 a.m.; the main event is at 5 p.m.
More than 100 teams will compete in the Intermountain Volleyball's Bid Qualifier Friday and today. Action will be split between 30 courts at six different venues along the Wasatch Front. Championship matches will take place on Saturday night.
Weber State senior quarterback Mike Hoke has been named to the 2012 College Football Performance Awards watch list for quarterbacks. Hoke is one of 38 quarterbacks in NCAA FCS named to the list and is one of eight Big Sky Conference quarterbacks on the list. ...
