PARC receives $1,000 grant

CLEARFIELD — The Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center will receive a $1,000 grant from the Darden Foundation as part of the inaugural Restaurant Community Grant Program.

The donation will enable PARC’s foundation to award a scholarship or scholarships to high school individuals with disabilities.

The foundation is the charitable arm of Darden Restaurants Inc.

The grant program helps support nonprofit organizations in the communities Darden and its restaurant brands serve, PARC marketing specialist Chad Miller said.

Restaurants within the Darden family include Red Lobster and Olive Garden.

PARC, a nonprofit established in 1972, is administered by the Davis School District. PARC serves over 600 people with disabilities in Davis, Weber, Salt Lake and Tooele counties.
