Idaho motorcyclist loses control, crashes in South Weber

SOUTH WEBER -- A 34-year-old Idaho man was transported to Ogden Regional Medical Center on Monday evening after losing control of a motorcycle he was riding.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Sills said the man was entering northbound Highway 89 from South Weber Drive when he went onto the shoulder of the road and into some gravel.

The motorcycle then landed on him, causing him some minor head injuries, Sills said.

Sills said the man reported that the bike was not his and that he crashed because he was not familiar with how to operate the machine.

The trooper said traffic was backed up for about a half hour as emergency workers responded to the scene.
