OGDEN -- They battled tooth and nail all season long.
They carried the battle into the region-ending tournament.
They will likely continue at next weekend's state 4-A tournament.
The Bonneville Lakers and Logan Grizzlies met in four of five championship matches on Wednesday at Mount Ogden Park, with the Lakers winning three of the titles.
But after two days of action and the season-long results added in, it was Logan that claimed the team title by a mere six points. Sky View finished third.
Bonneville won three of the four matchups, sweeping the singles titles. All three were battles.
At No. 1, the Lakers' Parker Jones defeated Andrew Hugie, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1. Sky View's Matt Kidman ended up third.
At No. 2 singles, Bonneville's Jay Walter topped Logan's Jake Stevenson, 7-6(8), 6-2. Sky View's Austin Jeppsen was third.
At No. 3 singles, Bonneville's Tyler Heaton topped Logan's Jordan Bylunds, 6-4, 7-5. Mountain Crest's Matt Adams was third.
At No. 1 doubles, Logan's Hunter Ballam and Jordan Larsen mowed down Matt Bladen and Nate Dunkin of Sky View, 6-1, 6-2. At No. 2 doubles, Logan's Dustin Hicken and Andrew Hopkins topped Bonneville's Riley Nichols and Quaid Madison.
Box Elder's doubles team each finished third.
The top four teams in each division advance to the state tournament, set for May 18-19 at Salt Lake City's Liberty Park.
