LAYTON -- The Tennessee-based ownership group of the Layton Hills Mall is literally hoping Top of Utah residents are hungry for more.
Officials with CBL & Associates Properties Inc., of Chattanooga, Tenn., have announced the fall opening of the Texas Roadhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants as the latest additions to the Layton Hills Mall property.
"We are extremely excited to welcome these fantastic additions to our great line-up of restaurants," said Todd Anderton, regional marketing director for the mall.
"We strive to continually attract unique restaurants and retail to Layton Hills Mall to ensure the center continues to be the preferred destination for dining as well as shopping," he said.
Buffalo Wild Wings, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn., is a popular grill and bar featuring a variety of boldly flavored, made-to-order menu items including its namesake Buffalo, New York-style chicken wings.
Texas Roadhouse is a casual dining concept that first opened in 1993.
"It's indicative to me that any type of business that is willing to venture out during an economic downturn is a very positive thing. It shows that Layton remains an economically vibrant community," Layton Mayor Steve Curtis said.
"The fun thing this does is it just adds to the flair of what Layton is already known for -- Restaurant Row," Curtis said.
In addition, the Happy Hashi, a Japanese tepanyaki and sushi bar, recently opened on the mall property, CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., marketing director Brad King said.
The Layton Hills Mall is owned and managed by CBL & Associates Properties. The mall features more than 100 speciality shops and is anchored by JCPenney, Macy's and Dick's Sporting Goods.
