OGDEN - The body of a child has been found in the Weber River, Weber County Sheriff's Office officials have confirmed.
Weber officials tweeted that the body of a child was recovered Sunday. It posted the comment at @WeberCoSheriff around 5 p.m.
Ogden police said a man walking along the banks of the fast-moving river spotted the body of a child in the water about a quarter mile downstream from the location where 4-year-old Corbin Anderson, of Layton, fell into the water more than two weeks ago.
Corbin was taking photos with his family when he fell into the cold water of the Weber River near the Ogden Kayak Park. Search and rescue crews searched both above ground and below the water's surface for the boys body, even diverting the river, without success.
The family held a memorial service for the boy Saturday in Layton.
More news will posted as it comes in.
