FARMINGTON -- A 39-year-old West Point man could be charged federally for having nude pictures of teenagers on his computer and phone, a local prosecutor said.

David Thor Oliver appeared in 2nd District Court on Monday. He is charged with nine counts of second-degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor; three counts of sexual battery, class A misdemeanors; and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, class B misdemeanors.

Another hearing is set for June 1.

Deputy Davis County Attorney Steve Major said the FBI is investigating Oliver because of the number and type of photographs found on his computer.

According to a court document, Oliver "requested and received at least nine images of three minor females."

The incidents took place between June 1, 2011, and Nov. 11, 2011, court documents state.
