Spilt milk tanker blocks Idaho highway

TWIN FALLS -- Eastbound U.S. Highway 30 was blocked for three hours between Filer and Twin Falls Monday morning after a tanker overturned, spilling 6,000 gallons of milk.

The commercial truck's driver, 43-year-old John Taylor of Hansen, was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center with minor injuries, according to an Idaho State Police release.

At about 7:04 a.m., Taylor's vehicle left the right shoulder of the highway near milepost 214 for unknown reasons, after which Taylor overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn, according to ISP.

Taylor was wearing a seat belt and alcohol is not a factor in the crash, the ISP report states.
