Life's too short for unkind words and deeds

Editor,

The old adage, "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never harm me," is so untrue.

I'm so tired of people with their petty comments, judgements and righteous attitudes. We are all different and that's the way it's meant to be. We are not all in the same religion and race, nor do we have the same likes and dislikes. We are each one of a kind, but we do have one thing in common; we are human beings, every last one of us.

Life is too short to waste it on unkind words or deeds. Let's come together as communities, neighbors, friends and human beings. Let's put aside our differences and be united.

Yes, one can make a difference. One plus one, plus one can make an even bigger difference. I know we all get busy, but let us no get too busy to care about what's really important in our lives. We all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
