Many years ago, both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party were able to get together in a compromise (now that is a rotten word) and resolve the budget, jobs, the economy or a healthcare problem. Now, many of the members of both parties are in the back pockets of the rich 2 percent and they do not know how to compromise to keep the country running or to get the country back to running on an even keel.
The idea of "socialized" anything is not a bad thing, There are a few of our well-to-do neighbors who have embraced that idea and made it work. Even the health insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies are working to make the medicines better for all concerned. However, in this country, high profits are driving the upper 2 percent to ignore the act of compromise that would help to end the Great Recession. They like the idea of making President Obama a one-term president and going back to the "old boy" fashion of the past and ignoring their customers, unless those same customers can improve their bottom line.
Those same upper level "leaders" should look at lowering the unit cost, which would create more income by enticing more customers to purchasing the medicines which would increase the total intake and increase the bottom line. Let the Congress work to compromise and get the country going again without harming the little people who make up the majority.
