Developer given extension in Layton

LAYTON — A local developer has been given a one-year extension on his bid to develop a subdivision project at approximately 2875 West and 150 North.

In action taken recently, the city council voted 4-0 to grant a final approval extension request to Bob Stevenson for the Whispering Pines PRUD subdivision.

The extension means the project would not be subject to starting from scratch with the review process, should the project be initiated in the next 12 months.

Slow economic conditions were cited as the reason for the extension.
