Elim Lutheran starts outdoor worship

OGDEN — Outdoor worship will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, at Elim Lutheran Church, 575 23rd St., in Ogden, said congregational president Rick Givens.

“Outdoor worship at Elim during the summer is our opportunity to worship under Utah’s beautiful, blue skies and to share God’s word with the community surrounding us,” he said.

From the Memorial Day weekend through the Labor Day weekend, the congregation will gather on the lawn by the parking lot for a shorter, informal service of Holy Communion.

Chairs will be provided, and trees and canopies will provide shade.

An outdoor fellowship hour with coffee, lemonade, ice water and snacks will follow the service.
