OGDEN -- A 20-year-old hiker was rescued Friday night after she fell and hurt her ankle.
The woman was hiking down Waterfall Canyon when she injured her ankle about 8:30 p.m., so her fellow hikers called for help.
Emergency responders found her about a mile from the 29th Street trailhead and helped her down.
As part of the rescue, the Ogden Fire Department tried out a new 6x6 utility terrain vehicle. They loaded the hiker onto the UTV and brought her down most of the way on it. Emergency responders carried her down the remainder of the trail.
She was taken by ambulance to McKay-Dee
