Brigham City dairy farmer re-elected to national dairy board

BRIGHAM CITY -- Brian Hardy, a Brigham City dairy farmer, has been re-elected to the board of directors of Dairy Farmers of America Inc.

He represents the cooperative's mountain area and will serve a three-year term.

Hardy, his father and three brothers milk 2,000 cows at three dairies and farm 1,200 acres of corn, alfalfa and wheat. They also raise all of their own replacement heifers.

Hardy is a member of the National Milk Producers Federation's board and has also served with Utah Dairymen's Association, Bear River Valley Co-op and several agricultural-related committees for Utah State University.

Hardy is a past president of the South Box Elder County Farm Bureau.
