OGDEN — The Weber County Commission has appointed five members to the Weed Control Board.
The commission assigned the task to the members of the Weber County Soil Conservation Board.
The members are Lamar DeFries, Blair Hancock, John DiGeorgio, Jerry Hill and Kevin Stratford.
The length of their terms on the weed board will coincide with the length of their terms on the soil conservation board.
Commissioner Kerry Gibson said the county has not been careful in keeping the board up to date, but with the spread of noxious and invasive species across the county, the weed board is needed.
