Woman injured in accident in Roy

KERA WILLIAMS/ Standard-Examiner

Emergency response workers take care of a woman whose motorcycle was hit by a truck at 5800 South and 1900 West in Roy on Friday. The 56-year-old woman suffered serious injuries to her right side after a pickup truck struck the scooter she was riding. She was pulling out of Master Lube when a northbound male driver, turning left at the same time, hit her, said Police Sgt. Darin Calcut. The investigation is ongoing, but it seems one of the drivers did not see the other, Calcut said. The woman was taken to an area hospital. A report on her condition was not available Friday night.
