CASTLEFORD, Idaho -- The Balanced Rock fire near Castleford grew to an estimated 6,000 acres late Monday morning, but Bureau of Land Management spokeswoman Kyli Gough said firefighters had it 80 percent contained.

She anticipated full containment by late Monday afternoon. No structures have been affected by the blaze, which broke out about 2 p.m. Sunday.

Gough said the exact size of the fire was being mapped by GPS on Monday morning.
