PROVO -- A Provo police officer fired for flaunting a Speedo-style swimsuit at a school function wants his job back.
The Daily Herald of Provo reports the man is seeking reinstatement after being fired last month for misconduct while serving as Provo High's school resource officer.
The Herald says a civil-service panel will hear Cody Harris' appeal.
A police report says Harris attended a birthday party for a school secretary and removed his pants several times to reveal his green Speedo. He also made cheeky comments while posing suggestively before female students and staff. Police say Harris violated several policies including those addressing sexual harassment and conduct toward the public.
Provo School District's acting superintendent says Harris isn't welcome back if he wins reinstatement.
