ST. GEORGE -- A former Utah Highway Patrol trooper faces a lengthy prison sentence after pleading guilty to child sexual abuse charges.
The Spectrum of St. George reports (http://bit.ly/Klh6z7) the 61-year-old Washington City man pleaded guilty this week in Cedar City to two first-degree felonies.
The charges stem from separate incidents in November and December involving two girls younger than 14.
Kevin Lee Davis faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison but also could receive a life sentence. Sentencing is set for Aug. 2 before Judge John Walton.
He was first arrested after he was observed touching a young girl sexually. In December, a second girl told her father Davis had exposed himself to her.
Davis left the highway patrol in 2004.
